Pomerene Hospital to host heart disease talk
Pomerene Hospital will host a Heart Disease talk at Keim Lumber on Monday, Feb. 28, from 6-7 p.m.
Dr. Podugu will give an overview on aortic stenosis, an abnormal narrowing of the heart valve, and coronary heart disease. He will also discuss ways to treat and prevent these types of diseases.
Podugu attended medical school at Osmania University in Hyderabad, India. He completed his residency and earned his fellowship in cardiology at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland. He was certified in 1999 and was certified in cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2004. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology since 2005.
He is a physician at Cardiovascular Consultants in Canton, where he has been a partner since 2001. He currently serves the Canton, Dover, Massillon, and Millersburg areas.
