Collection of early pioneer items

Recently, with the help of Ivan S. Miller, I was able to put together an early pioneer display: pistol, knife, powder flasks, and pouch. These items were in my collection but I did not have them displayed until Ivan came up with the pegboard idea. Now I can show them to friends displayed nicely in a grouping.

Recent auction prices: glass butter churn, $55; People’s Bank clock, $12.50; cross cut saw, $20; Tinker Toy set, $25; white granite coffee pot, $22.50; Griswald skillet, $15; crock jug, $12.50; Remington ammo box, $20; old wringer washer, $37.50; cheese grater, $25; blue Fenton bowl, $25; Ward’s five-gallon oil can, $17.50; child’s sewing machine, $27; cast iron bean pot, $22.50; straw hat, $3; Wizard barn lantern, $7.50; blue granite coffee pot, $15; miniature butter churn, $40; block pulley, $15; Biffer bulldog door stop, $50.

Happy hunting, Brooks.
