Area businesses will come together as one to greet, pamper and honor women of all ages the best way they know how, by offering discounts, services, specials and just some quality one-on-one time with anyone who walks through their doors. Ladies’ Night Out runs from 5-8 p.m. and includes a popular Killbuck salon, the local IGA, the candy store and more.
New Image Salon owner Debi Stadler has worked hard to get her salon ready for the big night. The team of stylists will offer $5 services including eyebrow waxing, mini-manicures and paraffin hand dips, as well as glitter fingernail painting to the younger generation of women.
“It’s great seeing so many people come to Killbuck,” Stadler said. “And not just our regular customers. This is just a fun night out.”
And once the ladies are made over, they can take a few glamour shots, provided by Simply Smiles Photography of Millersburg.
Also offering special deals will be New Image Consignment, Discount Surplus, Gypsy Folk Shop of Millersburg, Quick Chek, Tomboy Tools for women, Somewhere Sewing, The Killbuck Sweet Shoppe and The Pizza Parlor II. Garver’s Marathon will offer full service to any visiting guests.
Wines at the Arbor will offer taste testing and The Vinery will give away the chance to win free flowers every month for an entire year. “It’s great to have people come from out of town. There’s a lot of fun things to do,” said Dana Arnold, owner of The Vinery and co-owner of Wines at the Arbor. “This is to show our appreciation for our customers.”
As an added bonus, several downtown locations, including the Duncan Theater, will host representatives from popular makeup, jewelry, purse, candle, and food companies as well. Active Chiropractic from Millersburg will offer chair massages accompanied by Phyllis Young, a reflexologist. The Girl Scouts will also be around, selling their famous cookies.
And although the shop owners will be out in full swing, representatives from local non-profit organizations couldn’t resist the temptation to get a little girly themselves. The Killbuck Library will open its doors to showcase their new facility, which opened in February, offering crafts for kids and a hayride around the downtown area stops. The Killbuck Valley Museum and the VFW will also stay open during extended hours to welcome area women.
“We’re just sick of winter,” Stadler laughed. “And we wanted to do something for the ladies.” With more vendors than ever before, this year’s Ladies’ Night Out will offer fun for every girl, of any age.
