When it comes to showcasing home and garden products, there are few larger stages than the Central Ohio Home & Garden Show, which took place at the Ohio State fairgrounds in Columbus from Feb. 26 to March 6.

And it was on that stage that a local company stepped up and hit a home run.

Mullet Cabinet received a first place award for its custom cabinets display, garnering top honor for the best booth in the Kitchen and Design Center area. This is the second year in a row that Mullet Cabinet has won a first place award at this show, and what makes it even more exciting for them is that this marks only the second year in which they have participated in the show.

“The show staff told me that it was unanimous in voting us first place and they all thought our display was beautiful,” said Jordan Mullet, sales and marketing manager at Mullet Cabinet. “The Mullet family is honored to receive this award for the second year in a row. Our design team did a wonderful job in creating the display and they deserve all the credit.

The cabinets in the booth featured a custom, rustic alder kitchen with molding doors, custom hood and Cambria counter tops. The island had custom hand antiqued finish with a beautiful walnut counter top, and a custom hutch with a custom antique finish completed the booth. The entire booth was surrounded by matching rustic alder beam and posts.
