James Sigler

James A. Sigler, 64, of rural Perrysville, died unexpectedly March 8, 2011, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital, after becoming ill at his home.

James was born Nov. 12, 1946, in Ashland, to the late Robert James and Hazel Sigler. He had lived in the Loudonville-Perrysville area all his life and was a 1964 graduate of Loudonville High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era. James was an engineer for Dometic SeaLand, Big Prairie, for 40 years, beginning his employment at Mansfield Sanitary Pottery, Perrysville. He was a member of Loudonville Baptist Temple and was an avid reader and motorcycle enthusiast.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon Sue Sigler, whom he married April 13, 1975; sons, Robert J. (Aemie) Sigler of Millersburg, Weston J. (Amy) Sigler of Columbia City, Ind., and Ryan Sigler of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Sumney, Mia, Drew, Karris, Brooke, and Ava Sigler; and sisters, Judy Reed of Mansfield and Betty Sigler of Loudonville.

Services were held March 11, at Loudonville Baptist Temple, with Rev. David Koehler officiating. Burial with military services conducted by the American Legion and VFW was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville.
