From 10 a.m. until noon, Mary Gnizak of Adonai Acres returns with her popular seed-starting class. Many vegetables and herbs benefit from an early start, and workshop attendees will learn the basics of starting seeds indoors as well as take home their first plants. The cost for the workshop is $3 for Local Roots members and $5 for non-members.
Beginning at 12:30 p.m., Susan Sivey of Noah’s Landing will introduce you to the easy method of planting Salad Bowls. She will provide everything you need to take home a planter bowl for growing your own salads so you can get a jump start on spring greens. Cost for the activity ranges from $8 to $10 depending on the number of plants selected.
Pre-registration is required for both workshops. Please call the market at 330-263-5336 to sign up for a workshop by Wednesday, March 23.
