Verna Gingerich
Verna J. Gingerich, 88, of Bunker Hill, died March 28, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, Canton, following an extended illness.
Born Sept. 5, 1922, in Holmes County, Verna was a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mattie Gingerich. She was employed at the former O.I. Company, Berlin, and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are a brother, Joseph (Nedra) Gingerich of Canton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Alvin, John, Eli, and infant brother, Jacob; and sisters, Mahala, Susie, Anna, Orrie, and Amanda.
Services will be held March 30, at 9 a.m., at the Ivan B. Weaver residence, 4144 CR 168, Millersburg, with Bishop William J. Troyer officiating. Burial will follow in Raber Cemetery, Walnut Creek Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the Ivan B. Weaver residence.
Smith-Varns Funeral Home, Sugarcreek, is handling arrangements.
