Karen Geiser, author of Local Choices will speak on local foods

Karen Geiser is a Kidron market gardener who loves growing the unusual and sharing her love of gardening with others. In addition to weekly garden demonstrations at Lehman’s store and various seminars at Local Roots Market in Wooster, she is also co-author of the local foods book, Local Choices. Geiser will have greens out of her cold frames this time of year. She will share ideas and stories to encourage everyone to eat closer to home all seasons of the year. Local Choices, with foreword by David Kline, will be available for purchase. Learn more about her family farm at http://www.KarensGarden.net.

This event will take place Saturday, April 16, at 1 p.m., as a part of the April meeting of the County Line Historical Society of Wayne/Holmes, held at the Ken Miller Supply Oil, Gas, Car, Truck and Agriculture Museum. The museum is located just north of Shreve on state Route 226 (7920 Shreve Road). Everyone is invited free of charge.
