Come to Local Roots Market on Saturday, May 21 for the first-ever Local Roots Plant Swap. Participants must check in by 12:30 p.m. in order to participate, but the swap will run from noon until 1:30 p.m. Bring your vegetable, herb, fruit, and flower abundance to share and swap, and be sure to label your offerings to help others identify what they will take home.
For more information about the Plant Swap, please contact Persa Zula, coordinator, at 330-605-4874.
If you can’t get enough flowers, herbs, vegetables, and other plants for your garden, be sure to browse the plant corner at Local Roots for seedlings and larger potted plants. You’ll find a variety of offerings (most of them no-spray) from producer members such as Noah’s Landing, Weaver’s Truck Patch, Backyard Herbs, Hillside Gardens, Mohican Gardens, and more.
Don’t forget to check out the rack of seed packets from Seed Savers, located near the café counter. From heirloom to organic varieties, the seeds from Seed Savers will add color and flavor to your garden as well as help support Local Roots.
