Born Feb. 12, 1932, in Dover, Margaret was a daughter of the late Mildred V. and Norbert H. Brisgal. A graduate of St. Joseph High School, she was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of the LCBA, the Christian Mothers, and most recently served as a greeter. She was also a member of the Al-Anon of Tuscarawas County and deeply believed in helping those with addiction. She’ll be remembered by her family as a homemaker who devoted her life to the care of her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Michael P. Marino, whom she married Nov. 26, 1953; daughters, Maureen (Tim) Muldovan of Dover, Barb Berndt of Bolivar, Nance (Rannie) Cox of Navarre, Julie (Ed) Moore of Millersburg, N.C., and Lisa (Tim) Wolfe of Finley; sons, Mark Marino of New Philadelphia, Jim (Kathy) Marino Strongsville, and Mike (Shona) Marino of Dennison; nine grandchildren, Todd Contini, Jennifer Berndt, Joseph Berndt, Christopher Berndt, Vicki Berndt, Joshua Marino, Dalton Marino, Rebecca Wolfe, and Jessica Moore; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John F. Brisgal.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held May 26, at 10:30 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Matthew Hoover officiating. Family and friends will gather at Geib Funeral Center for prayers and the procession to church at 9:45 p.m. A luncheon reception held at Geib Funeral Center will follow Mass. Friends are invited to call May 25, from 4-7 p.m., at the Geib Funeral Center, Dover, where Christian Wake Services will commence at 6:45 p.m.
