Diana Morton is this year’s recipient of the Linda E. Reynolds Business Visionary Award at the Ashland County–West Holmes Career Center’s Adult Recognition Ceremony. Morton enrolled in the business office technology (BOT) program in the fall after her previous employer moved out of state. She was one of the career center’s two adult representatives at the statewide April conference with Ohio legislators. Throughout the school year, Diana drove from Galion and maintained over 97 percent academic and 98 percent attendance records.

This award is in honor of Linda Reynolds, who began her journey at the career center as a student in the business technology program more than 25 years ago. Reynolds was later hired by the career center as an office secretary and stayed on to become the adult education department office manager, providing 25 years of service to the district. She continues to be a strong force in the community today as a volunteer in several organizations.

This business award is given each year to a deserving BOT student who encompasses traits needed to be a business visionary: professionalism, willingness to learn, leadership, and a caring attitude.
