Mother Nature steals the keys to Hilltop Speedway this time

Heavy rains throughout Friday evening, June 10 and Saturday morning, June 11, forced Hilltop Speedway to cancel the Mid-Season Championship races, scheduled for Saturday night, before the gates even opened, marking the sixth time this season that Mother Nature has managed to put the brakes on racing action at the banked oval dirt track near Millersburg.

Scheduled racing action on Saturday, June 18 will feature The Dirty 30, as Tri-State Modifieds run for the $1,500 prize, while the Atom’s Pest Control Trucks take the night off to make room for the V-8 Pure Stock Cruisers, making their first appearance on “The Hill” in 2011.

The Holmes Tire Super Late Models, Street Stocks, Guerne Heights Drive-In Mini Stocks and Mini Wedges will all be in action as well, as drivers look to complete just their fifth night of racing at Hilltop.
