Sharon Lamonica

Sharon R. Lamonica, 65, of Sugarcreek, formerly of New Philadelphia, died June 4, 2011, at the Cleveland Clinic, following complications from a surgical procedure.

A daughter of the late Anthony and Kathleen DeNicola, Sharon was born March 24, 1946, in Roswell. She attended primary school at St. Mary’s, Dennison, and later graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1964. She was employed by Community Professional Services, Dover, for more than 25 years, where she cared for medical records. Additionally, she was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church, New Philadelphia. Above all, Sharon enjoyed caring for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Donald Lamonica, whom she married July 29, 1972; children, Donald Lamonica Jr. of Delaware, Amanda (Tyson) Veidt of Bluffton, and Scott (Dani) Lamonica of Zanesville; sister, Patricia Miller of Florida; and four grandchildren, Ryan and Teddy, and twins, Reagan and Reese.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony DeNicola Jr.

Memorial services celebrating Sharon’s life were held June 10, at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory, New Philadelphia, with Fr. Jeff Coning officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, New Philadelphia.
