Wesley Keim

Wesley J. Keim, 68, of Sugarcreek, died July 24, 2011, at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, following a short illness.

Wesley was born Jan. 5, 1943, in Holmes County, to the late Jonas J. and Malinda Keim. He had worked at Troyer’s Trail Bologna, Trail, for 39 years and worked for 12 years at Sauder Eggs before he retired. He was a member of First Mennonite Church, Sugarcreek.

Surviving are his wife, Lizzie Keim, whom he married May 27, 1964; children, Betty (Floyd) Miller, Mike (Mary) Keim, and Diane Keim, all of Sugarcreek; three grandchildren, Lori Miller, Malinda Keim, and Michael Keim; siblings, Clara (Levi) Raber of Millersburg, Edna (Delmar) Haun of Orrville, Elizabeth Fishburn of Wooster, Ella Weimer of Mt. Gilead, MaryAnn (Robert) Haven of Apple Creek, Jacob (Effie) Keim of Fredericksburg, Ada (John) Garber of Sugarcreek, Jonas Keim Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., Malinda (Bill) Wallace of Wooster, and Susan (Jeff) Linder of Orrville; and sisters-in-law, Sevilla Keim of Shreve and Charlotte Keim of Chesterland.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Aden Keim and Roy Keim; sisters, Mattie Hershberger and Esta Keim; brothers-in-law, Daniel Hershberger, Clarence Fishburn, and Delmar Weimer; and sister-in-law, Susan Keim.

Services will be held July 27, at 10 a.m., at First Mennonite Church, Sugarcreek, with Pastor Jayne Byler officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery. Friends may call July 26, from 4-8 p.m., and one hour prior to services.

Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home, Sugarcreek.
