Stephen Mills
Stephen E. Mills, 65, of Millersburg, died August 15, 2011, at Akron General Medical Center.
Stephen was born Jan. 4, 1946, in Columbus, to the late Carl Anthony and Ella Eileen Mills. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Air Force and retiring after 20 years of service, followed by an additional 12 years as a civil servant. He was an active member of Millersburg Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Doris F. Mills, whom he married March 6, 1964; daughter, Lori Mills Hurd; four granddaughters, Katie Zimmerly, Markie Hurd, Brandie Hurd, and Emalie (Sean) Aubin; a great-granddaughter, Shaelyn Zimmerly; brother, Ronald Mills of Burlington, N.C.; sister, Martha Langhirt of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held August 23, at noon, at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Doug Wells officiating. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, with military rites being conducted by the Wright-Patterson AFB Honor Guard. Friends may call August 22, from 6-8 p.m.
