Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center to hold open house

The Ashland County–West Holmes Career Center will have an open house Sept. 15, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., to showcase upcoming fall adult programs. Slots are still available in pharmacy technician, phlebotomy technician, construction trades, dental assisting, administrative medical office, welding, STNA, and maintenance training. The earlier a person secures funding, the better because several courses fill rapidly.

“In today’s economy, prospective employers are seeking people with updated skills and training. Our graduates receive nationally recognized credentials,” noted David Kleinschmidt, director of adult education.

Tina Snyder, financial aid coordinator, stressed, “Most of our programs are eligible for Pell Grant assistance and Stafford loans. Completing financial aid forms can be time-consuming and confusing but we will assist any person for free.”

If unable to attend, check out the website at http://www.acwhcc.org or call the adult education office at 419-289-3313 to receive information about any future adult courses.
