On behalf of the Board of Health, I would first like to thank the community members who came to our offices to help us physically move furniture and boxes. These volunteers made the move possible. Thank you to Brock Bucklew, Rick Burick, Stan Conkle, Jill Crone, Bruce Glick, Gretchen Hershberger, Leroy and Mary Hochstetler, Wayne Leininger, Dave Miller, Freeman and Carol Miller, Mic and Leah Miller, Maynard Miller, Rowan Miller, Patrick and Christine Nafziger, Carol Remington, Quinn Strouse, Jerry Strouse, Ted Zuercher, and PJ Zuercher. I can not thank you enough for all you have done. Thank you as well to the countless individuals in the community who were thinking and praying for us during our move. All of your kind thoughts and well wishes were greatly appreciated.
Thank you to the Holmes County Commissioners, to the Pomerene Hospital Board, and to Dan Jackson who have made this transition a reality. Working together as community agencies, we will be able to solve a myriad of problems.
Thank you to our new neighbors in the Holmes County Department of Job and Family Services who have patiently worked with us as we moved in. We feel welcomed and look forward to working together with you all.
I would also like to thank the contractors who worked so hard to make the renovations to our new space, Kirk Builders, Century Link, Keybridge Computer, Millersburg Electric, and Staley Technologies.
Thank you to the community of Holmes County. You are all our customers, and we thank you for your patience during this time when we were closed or operating at partial status. Thank you for your patience.
Finally, thank you to the staff of the Holmes County Health District who have worked so hard to physically make this transition happen. You deserve high praise for your commitment to the community.
I am humbled by the support that this county has given and continues to give to the work of the health district. We take the work of public health very seriously and I am honored to know that the community recognizes the efforts of our staff and supports us.
Thank you.
For the Board of Health,
D.J. McFadden, MD MPH
