Janice Tope gave a program on entitled Your No. 1 Weight-loss Weapon, from Women’s Health magazine. Two types of fiber are the key to health and weight loss. Soluble fiber is found in the flesh of apples, the grain of rice, and the skins and outer parts of foods. Soluble fiber binds with liquids to form a gummy gel that makes you feel full as it slows digestion, letting your body absorb more nutrients from other foods.
Insoluble fiber speeds up the passage of material through your digestive tract and sweeps out all the toxins from your body. Eating natural foods will give you the benefit of both kinds of fiber.
