Armin was born July 3, 1913, in Bluffton, to the late John and Fanny Burkholder. He lived most of his life in Wayne County and recently moved back from Florida. He attended West Hill Baptist Church, Wooster.
Surviving are children, Ray (Norma) Burkholder of North Canton, Marie (John) Croskey of Ashland, Kenneth (Jane) Burkholder of Sterling, Carol (Al) Haven of Wooster, Laurel (Larry) Crider of Smithville, Charlene (Robert) Camacho of Millersburg, and James (Becky) Burkholder of Wooster; daughter-in-law, Carol Burkholder of Tennessee; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda G. Sommer, whom he married Dec. 25, 1934; son, Carey Burkholder; and a grandson.
Services will be held Oct. 6, at 11 a.m., at Spidell Funeral Home, Mt. Eaton, with his grandson, Rev. Brian Burkholder officiating. Burial will be in Kidron Mennonite Church Cemetery. Friends may call Oct. 5, from 6-8 p.m.
