Doris was born Sept. 5, 1934, in Millersburg, to the late Earl Edmond and Martha Marie Lowther. She retired after working several years in dietary at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg. She was a member of Millersburg Christian Church, where she worked in the nursery and sang in the choir, and enjoyed crocheting and doing crossword puzzles.
Surviving are children, Ed (Joyce) Trussel of Oklahoma City, Okla., Marie (Charlie) Cawley of Coshocton, Joy Raber of Midwest City, Okla., and Fred Trussel of Wooster; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Edison Trussel, whom she married Sept. 15, 1954; her father- and mother-in-law, Budd and Anna Trussel; infant son, David Eugene Trussel; stepbrother, Earl Barnes; and a great-grandson, Allan Lenden Truex.
Services were held Oct. 4, at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Pastor David Carrick officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.
