The focus of the second annual event was to educate students on the diversity of food and to provide a dining experience typical of bed and breakfast inns from across the United States.
Loretta Coblentz, of The Barn Inn Bed and Breakfast, was presented with a distinguished commemorative plate in appreciation for her unique cuisine recipe contribution.
The University of Georgia Food Services is nationally recognized for its creative special event schedule. Their March 2011 Sunset Breakfast event received national recognition in the Loyal E. Horton Menu Awards this past year, competing against more than 600 other institutions that are members of the National Association of College and University Food Services.
“We were delighted to learn that the University of Georgia selected our baked oatmeal recipe for their Sunset Breakfast. I have always recognized the nutritional value and quality of this dish. Not only is it incredibly delicious, it is high in fiber, is fat and gluten free, and presents beautifully.”
