The Home-Owned, Home-Grown Holmes County Businesses purchased the Grand Champion Holmes County Bred Steer at this year’s Junior Fair and donated the sale proceeds to Share-A-Christmas. After the animal was processed, the 461 pounds of meat was sold at Rodhe’s IGA Marketplace, netting more than $1,500. A check for that amount is shown being presented by Mark Lonsinger (R), marketing director for Home-Owned, Home-Grown Holmes County Businesses, to Robert Porter, Share-A-Christmas chairman, center.
