Alvin was born Jan. 15, 1920, in Holmes County, to the late Peter P. and Sarah A. Schrock. He was a retired woodworker and a charter member of Bethel Fellowship Church, Berlin.
Surviving are children, Mabel (David) Stoltzfus of the home, Edward (Carolyn) Schrock of Myerstown, Pa., Delbert (Elsie) Schrock of Shipshewana, Ind., Lester Schrock of Mt. Grove, Mo., Mary Ann (Corey) Frink of Van Wert, James (Edna) Schrock of Millersburg, and Alvin Jr. (Rhoda) Schrock of Dundee; daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Schrock of Milton, Pa.; 24 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and sister, Beina Schlabach of Winesburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Schrock, whom he married Nov. 23, 1944; five brothers; two sisters; and a great-grandson.
Services will be held Dec. 6, at 10 a.m., at Bethel Fellowship Church, Berlin, with Pastor Bill Mullet officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Fellowship Church Cemetery. Friends may call Dec. 5, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
