Pauline Gindlesberger

Pauline M. Gindlesberger, 96, of Millersburg, died Jan. 9, 2012, at Dublin Methodist Hospital.

Pauline was born June 27, 1915, in Nashville, and was the daughter of Thomas D. and Minnie Glasgo. On June 28, 1936, she married Weldon Lee Gindlesberger, and he preceded her in death in 2009.

She was a 1933 graduate of Millersburg High School and went on to business college. She had worked for the Holmes County Farm Bureau and City Hall. She then worked over 30 years at the Holmes County treasurer’s office and the Holmes County auditor’s office until retirement.

Pauline was a member of Millersburg Methodist Church, was a former Eastern Star, and had been a Gray Lady at the hospital for many years. She was also a member of the Holmes County Historical Society and the Holmes County Senior Center. She enjoyed reading, flowers, butterflies, traveling, and her greatest love was being with her family. She lived her life faithfully as a devoted wife, being married almost 74 years. She was a loving, caring mother and a gracious grandmother.

Surviving are daughters, Joan Scherer of Columbus and Barbara (Bill) Jones of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Cindy (Rusty) Benschoter, Kristi (Russ) Patrick, Scott (Vikie) Jones, and Brad Scherer; great-grandchildren, Noah Benschoter, Marissa and Cole Patrick, and Alana and Ellie Scherer; special niece, Patsy Leppla; special nephew, Richard Anderson; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Louella Patterson, Lena Anderson, Clara Jones, Florence Rush, and Hazel Donley; and brothers, Albert, Walter, Willis, Harold, and Paul Glasgo.

Private graveside services will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, with Rev. Tom Jones officiating. There will be no public viewing.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Homereach Hospice, 404 E. Wilson Bridge Rd., Suite H, Worthington 43085.
