Arminda was born Jan. 29, 1917, in Webster, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late James and Melceney Fowler. On April 24, 1934, she married Jack W. Galford, and he preceded her in death in 1997.
Arminda was a member of Highland Church of God, Wooster. She loved gardening, cooking, quilting, and enjoyed working at the church.
Arminda is survived by children, Joe Galford of Killbuck, Louise Conner and Waneta Carter, both of Millersburg, Gladys (John) Gray and Norma Shaffer, both of Wooster, Margie (Jim) Barnhart of Millersburg, and Jeanette (Bruce) Thomas-McBane of Glenmont; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Wright of West Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Galford; grandsons, Kevin Shaffer and Jack Carter; great-great-granddaughter, Olivia Carter; five brothers; and four sisters.
Services were held Jan. 21, at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Pastors Wendell Sinclair and Mark McCord officiating. Burial was in Killbuck Cemetery.
