Killbuck students get canned for a good cause for 100th day of school

Helping pack boxes for Killbuck Elementary’s 100th Day of School food drive were (L-R) Felicity Cline, Wyatt Schlauch, Logan Schlauch, Sawyer Pritt and Kyle Maltrich. The school went far beyond what they had hoped to raise for a trio of area food pantries.

To celebrate the 100th day of school, the students of Killbuck Elementary held a food drive. The goal was to raise 300 cans of food to share. However, the students proved to be extremely capable in the art of bringing canned goods to school, and ended up zooming well past their initial goal. The food drive resulted in more than 550 cans of food being presented by the students, which filled 18 boxes. The food will now be passed along to three local food pantries.
