Holmes County absentee voting

Absentee voting is now being conducted for the March 15 primary election. Any registered voter in Ohio may request and cast an absentee ballot. You do not need to state a reason to vote absentee. An individual must apply for a ballot in writing and submit the request to the Holmes County Board of Elections.

Requests must include voterís name, residence address, mailing address (if different), date of the election, party ballot being requested, statement that the person requesting the ballot is a qualified elector, date of birth, identification, voterís signature and date.

Application forms are available at the board office or on the board website, www.holmescountyboardofelections.com.

The board encourages voting in person in the board office. In-person voting will save taxpayer dollars by eliminating postage costs.
