Residents can register at the Holmes County Board of Elections located in the office building at 75 E. Clinton St., Suite 108, in Millersburg. The Board of Elections office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration forms also are available at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles or at the Holmes County District Public Library. You may change your address online or print forms on the Board of Elections website at
To vote, a person must be a United States citizen, be a resident of the county and precinct in which one plans to vote, be at least 18 years of age on or before the day of the general election, and have registered to vote at least 30 days prior to the election.
The Nov. 8 general election ballot includes U.S. president and vice president, U.S. representative to Congress (Seventh District), state senator (22nd District), state representative (70th District and 98th District), two Holmes County commissioners, prosecuting attorney, clerk of court of common pleas, sheriff, county recorder, county treasurer, county engineer, Holmes County coroner, member of State Board of Education (Fifth District and Ninth District), three justices of the Supreme Court, and two judges of the court of appeals (Fifth District). Also appearing on the ballot will be several local tax issues and two local liquor options.
