Historic Schoenbrunn Village will host its Spring Lantern Tour on Saturday, May 20 from 8-10 p.m. Guests will encounter costumed storytellers as they tour the village’s 16 reconstructed cabins.
New this year, a Moravian brass band from Dover First Moravian Church also will be in attendance, and guests will be able to get traditional sugar cakes and tea at the site of Ohio’s first school.
“The Spring Lantern Tour gives our visitors a chance to see the village before it opens for the season,” said Kathy Spring, volunteer coordinator. “It is beautiful to see Schoenbrunn glowing with luminaries and alive with guests.”
Admission for the Spring Lantern Tour is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, $4 for children age 7-17 and free for children under 7. Historic Schoenbrunn Village members also may attend free. Annual memberships to the village may be purchased at the Spring Lantern Tour.
Historic Schoenbrunn Village is operated by the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum and owned by the Ohio History Connection. The village is located in New Philadelphia at 1984 E. High Ave. off of U.S. 250.
