Limited tickets available for ghost walks at Victorian House

Visitors will have a personal guide who will escort them to the Victorian House for a ghost walk through the 28-room mansion's haunted hallways, creaky stairs and dimly lit rooms.

Halloween at the Mansion will be Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27 and 28. Only 24 tickets will be sold for each hour from 6-10 p.m.
 
The evening will begin with registration, orientation and refreshments at the Castle Club, next to the Victorian House, where visitors will be given some background on the history of the house, ghosts who reside and manifest themselves, and instruction on the guided ghost walk.
 
Each group of 12 will have their own personal guide who will escort them to the Victorian House for a ghost walk through the 28-room mansion's haunted hallways, creaky stairs and dimly lit rooms.
 
Guides will have basic ghost-hunting equipment for hands-on use including laser grids, EVP meters and dousing rods.
 
A short presentation will be shown in the ballroom with sample audio EVPs, video captures and photos of past sightings. Possible ghost sightings may include a little girl who roams the halls; the lady in black, thought to be Lena; the last occupant of the house, a spirit who manifests himself in the basement; and others who come and go.
 
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for Holmes County Historical Society members and $10 for children under 12. The society expects tickets to sell out fast.
